App Privacy & Data Use

A plain-English summary of what DuoMatch collects and why. This mirrors the App Store "App Privacy" and Google Play "Data Safety" disclosures. Full legal text lives in our Privacy Policy.

Data linked to you

Identifiers

Email, user ID, optional Discord handle.

Profile

Display name, age, pronouns, gender, region, languages, bio, prompts.

Photos

Avatar and gallery photos you upload. Optional verification selfie.

User content

Messages, voice notes, GIFs, reactions and reports you send.

Usage data

Likes, matches, swipes, sessions and feature interactions.

Diagnostics

Crash logs and performance data to keep the app stable.

Purchases

Subscription tier and billing status. New purchases are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); existing web subscriptions are processed by Stripe until they end. We never store card numbers.

Data not collected

Precise location

We use a coarse region you pick yourself — never GPS.

Contacts

We don't read your address book.

Health, financial or biometric data

None.

How your data is used

App functionality

Matching, messaging, notifications, account management.

Safety & moderation

Reviewing reports, blocking abusive accounts, AI-assisted content moderation.

Analytics

Understanding aggregate usage so we can improve the product. Never sold.

Sharing

We share the minimum needed with infrastructure providers (Lovable Cloud / Supabase for storage, Apple and Google for in-app purchases, Stripe for existing web subscriptions until they end, push providers for notifications). We do not sell your data and we don't share it for third-party advertising.

Your controls

Edit or delete

Update your profile or delete your account from Settings at any time.

Block & report

Block or report any user from their profile or chat.

Notifications

Granular toggles in Settings → Notifications.

Read receipts

Turn off receipts in Settings → Notifications → Privacy.

Age

DuoMatch is 18+. Accounts that misrepresent age are removed.
